1. Introduction

Welcome to Edinburgh Airport Taxi. These terms and conditions govern your use of our private hire and chauffeur services. By booking with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation.

  • Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

  • We accept major credit/debit cards through our secure payment system.

  • Prices quoted are final unless the journey details change significantly.

  • Additional charges may apply for waiting time, extra stops, or route changes.

3. Cancellation Policy

Note: For airport transfers, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to qualify for a refund.

4. Passenger Responsibilities

  • Passengers must be ready at the agreed pickup time and location.

  • All passengers must wear seatbelts as required by UK law.

  • Child seats must be requested at the time of booking.

  • Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle.

  • Smoking, vaping, and consumption of alcohol are prohibited in all vehicles.

  • The driver reserves the right to refuse service to intoxicated or abusive passengers.

5. Luggage & Pets

  • Reasonable luggage is included in the fare for airport transfers.

  • Excess or oversized luggage may require a larger vehicle at additional cost.

  • Pets must be declared at the time of booking and may incur an additional charge.

  • Guide dogs are always welcome at no extra cost.

6. Waiting Time

  • Standard Pickups: 5 minutes free waiting time.

  • Airport Arrivals: 30 minutes free waiting time from flight landing.

  • Overstay Fee: Additional waiting time is charged at £0.50 per minute.

  • Drivers will attempt to contact passengers before leaving.

7. Liability

Edinburgh Airport Taxi is fully licensed and insured for private hire operations. However, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. We recommend allowing adequate time for airport transfers and important appointments.

8. Lost Property

Any items left in our vehicles should be reported immediately via our official contact channels. We will make reasonable efforts to return lost property but cannot guarantee recovery of items. A handling fee may apply for returned items.

9. Complaints

Complaints must be submitted within 7 days of your journey. All complaints will be investigated and responded to within 14 working days.
